Like if someone's parents refuse to teach them to drive can you rent one to try and teach yourself if you're 17
No. Require license or permit, And, major credit card. . I'm not even sure of permit.
Major renters like Enterprise require you to be 25 or older. Most also require you to have insurance or buy it from them, more $.
Best you borrow from a friend. I sympathise. I tried to rent a car at 60, I had no major credit card but did have DL and insured with State Farm; even thou I rented from Enterprise twice before; they just barely let me rent.
Arnold Clark in the UK rent dual controlled learner cars by the hour but the person hiring would have to have a licence and probably be 25.
Before you can rent a car you need a license
If you are under 25 you can not a vehicle.
If you have no license you can not rent a vehicle.
Regardless of your age if you only have a permit you can not rent a vehicle.
Next question please.
No, Skippy. NO ONE Is going to rent a car to you if you don't have a drivers license.
No way, Jose. Not going to happen. Nyet, nien, negatatory.
no, no, and no
No. To rent a car you have to be 25 or older, have a valid driver's license, have insurance and have a credit card.
No, need to have a license, insurance, credit card, and be over a certain age.
Most car rental companies actually don't rent cars to drivers under the age of 25 in many cases.
And they certainly do not rent to someone who does not have a valid driver's license.
At 17 there is no way you are going to rent a car, even if you have permit/license.
Just take one of their cars out at night after they go night night. Use your imagination butterball.
No. And the reason they won't teach you is you are irresponsible. Prove to them you are not.
At 17 there is no way you are going to rent a car, especially if you ONLY have a LEARNER'S license. (which is what a permit is) You are permitted to OPERATE A CAR "so long as a person with a FULL DRIVER'S LICENSE ALWAYS SITS IN THE FRONT SEAT BESIDE YOU (otherwise the insurance is not valid) You cannot teach yourself how to drive. Read the driver's training manual first. All the information is in there.
Have we changed "idiot question day " to Saturday?
Depends on who you're renting from and where. S California at a spanish speaking shop with a few maybe stolen or Mexican registered cars in back, pay cash and no other questions asked. Chicago south side in couple shops- same deal, large cash deposit and away you go, sell back vehicle a week or 2 later for reduced price- if not pulled over by police for driving zombie. You mean from Hertz? not likely. .
No D/L - no car rental
At 17 - no car rental.
Get yourself a permit and sign up for driving school.
Of course not. A 17 year old cannot rent or even drive a rental car. You must have a driver's license to rent a car. You need a major credit card to rent a car. If you were a car rental company would you rent your $25,000 car to a minor with no drivers license?
No chance at all.
no, you can't. your a minor, you can't rent anything.
Absolutely not, even if you do rent or achieve a car somehow. How are you going to legally drive it without a permit?
No. All rental companies will only allow full license holders to drive their cars.
You will need a licence to rent a car.
