So I m writing a book about a girl that s in love with her best friend but he doesn t know and he likes someone else. Can anyone please help me with a title I can use?
I know it sounds cliche as hell but I m going to try and not make it as cliche.
I read a novel about Mary Pickford and Frances Marion titled "The Girls in the Picture". I thought, "Mary was the silent picture star, not Frances." But the title referred to a still photo of Mary, Frances, and Mary's other partners in United Artists. The other partners were all men. Frances showed the picture to Mary in their old age, as a reminder of the days when they were young and had broken the "old boy" clique -- that they were on top of the movie industry too. The girls in that picture were The Girls in Motion Pictures.
Just call it 'Unrequited Love' for the moment, so you can find it in your files, but you don't need to worry about the title until you've finished. And a lot of writers find that a phrase often crops up in their own text that works beautifully as the title.
Mary Sue Gets Married.
Worry about a title once it's been written. If you're still working on it, there's no pressing need for a title.
If She only knew?
